On Friday 19 September, the Johnston Smillie team set out to conquer the Seven Hills of Edinburgh to raise money for the Johnston Smillie Charitable Trust.
Over a grueling six hours the team hiked to the summit of each of Edinburgh’s seven hills – Corstorphine Hill, Craiglockhart Hill, Braid Hills, Blackford Hill, Arthur’s Seat, Calton Hill and Castle Hill – as well as covering the many miles in between!
We walked, we climbed, we scrambled, and we learned that if someone insists they know a shortcut… they probably don’t!
But all of that effort paid off – thanks to all your support, we’ve raised an amazing £1,545 in online and cash donations. The Gift Aid scheme will allow The Johnston Smillie Charitable Trust to claim a further £362.50, bringing our total to an incredible £1,907.50.
A huge thank you to everyone who sponsored us and followed our journey on social media. Your continued support allows us to keep helping charities across Central Scotland achieve their goals.
