On Friday 19 September, the Johnston Smillie team will be taking on our toughest fundraising challenge to date – the (in)famous Seven Hills Challenge.
The Seven Hills Challenge will see the team embark on a 7 to 8 hour hike which will take us up and down each of the Seven Hills of Edinburgh in a single day.
Starting off at Corstorphine Hill, we will begin our trek with a modest climb of 161m. After that we will have plenty of time to rest up as we take the long walk south-east to Craiglockhart Hill (East), with it’s summit of 158m. Then it’s onto the Braid Hills (208m) and Blackford Hill (164m) before the biggest challenge of the day – Arthur’s Seat, an extinct volcano which towers over the city at a dramatic 251m. After that it’s the much less intimidating Calton Hill (103m), before we end the day at Castle Hill (130m) where we can grab a well-deserved drink (or several)!
15 members of the Johnston Smillie team have agreed to take on the challenge to raise as much money as we can for charity. Please help us reach our fundraising goal by sharing our Just Giving page.
Every penny raised through sponsorship goes directly to The Johnston Smillie Charitable Trust, and will be used to support smaller local charities who are in need of funding.
