The Johnston Smillie Making Tax Digital (MTD) for VAT filer has been approved by HM Revenue & Customs (HMRC) and provides you with a standalone, easy to use Excel spreadsheet.

This will work alongside your current software or your spreadsheets and submit your VAT return directly to HMRC.  It is ideal if:-

  1. Your existing bookkeeping system is not MTD for VAT compliant;
  2. You are currently not able to move your accounting system to a new software; or
  3. Your current Excel templates suit your business needs.

For a one-off fee of £450 plus VAT we will provide you with an Excel bridging solution that will allow you to do the following:

  • Submit your VAT return directly to HMRC
  • View your VAT return obligations
  • View previously submitted VAT return figures
  • Link with any existing Excel spreadsheets or other accounting systems that you can export VAT return information to

We will also assist you to set this up, help you get started and provide support if you encounter any issues.
