If you, or your organisation, are VAT registered and have not already signed up for Making Tax Digital (MTD) for VAT with HMRC then the time is here.
From your first VAT return starting after 31 March 2022 you will need to be signed up for MTD to submit your VAT return to HMRC. (There are very few exceptions to this) To comply you will need to have a compatible software package, or other software that can connect to HMRC systems to allow your VAT return to be submitted. This is as well as meeting the requirements for digital record keeping.
