Another excellent year of fundraising!

It’sGood2Give! was our chosen charity for 2019 and we are delighted that this was our best ever year for fundraising and the total raised was over £28,000.

Throughout the year we raised money in many different ways and had great fun doing so. These included:-

• A Quiz Night – in June we held our annual charity quiz at Edinburgh Sports Club. There were 14 teams taking part this year with the winners being Young & Partners. This is a fun evening event which can get very competitive at times!
• Dress Down Days – we continue to have dress down days for staff every Friday. For a voluntary donation of £1, staff can dress more casually for their working day.
• Tuck Shop – we have an office tuck shop where all items are priced at 50p . This raises over £1000 each year for our charities.
• Easter Raffle – we held a raffle for staff in March where raffle tickets were sold and Ann McQueen won a lovely, Easter bunny, chocolate Easter egg and bottle of wine.
•  Kiltwalk 2019 – eight of the team completed the 14.5 miles from Fisherrow Links to the BT Murrayfield Stadium in September. They all did very well and fortunately the weather was kind to them.
• Bag Packing – we were very fortunate to secure a bag-packing slot at Marks & Spencer, The Gyle, Edinburgh in October. A busy but fun bag-packing day was had by all.  Thanks to all who helped out on the day.
• Ladies Afternoon Tea – this was a first time event for us this year. We all had a fabulous afternoon, with over 100 ladies attending The Merchants’ Hall, Hanover Street, Edinburgh.  There was plenty of chat and lots of  delicious food and fizz.
• Sportsman’s Lunch –  our annual charity lunch held in November at Turnhouse Golf Club was our most successful yet. This was thanks to our two excellent guest speakers on the day, Willie Young and Duncan Wilson and of course to the amazing support and generosity from all those who sponsored and attended the event.
• Halloween & Christmas Hampers – we ended our fundraising year with Halloween and Christmas Hamper Raffles.

We have really enjoyed working with It’sGood2Give! in 2019 and we would like to wish Lynne McNicoll and her team all the best for the future.

What do we have in store for 2020?

We will announce this year’s charity in the forthcoming weeks and have many fun filled fundraising plans already lined up for 2020.
