What does a typical work day involve for you? I am out of the office quite a bit at clients either doing their bookkeeping on Sage, or Xero, or checking their postings and preparing VAT returns. If I am in the office, I would be checking e-mails and answering clients’ queries.  Also I carry-out work on Annual and Management Accounts.

If you were not an accountant, what would you be? I think I would be a racing driver,  although my family think I am one some of the time.

What pets did you have when you were growing up and what were their names? We had a ginger tom cat, called Ginger! It used to wander quite a bit and sometimes wouldn’t come home for a couple of months.  It was also very lazy and when my mum was hoovering, it would lie down and she would clean it with the hoover.

What is your favourite hobby/pastime? Baking – over the years I have had a lot of success but also a lot of disasters.  I get more practice now as coffee time is normally at my house for the family on a Sunday.

What fictional place would you most like to go to? I would love to visit Hogwarts, who wouldn’t want to be a witch?  It would have been amazing to go to Hogwarts school.

What is your favourite food and drink?  I love a Chinese chicken curry, fried rice and chips washed down with a glass of Rose wine.

Where is your favourite place in the world and why? This has to be St Andrews.  I have been going there since I was a child and just love everything about it. The beaches are my favourite bit of all.

What would be your ideal way to spend the weekend? To jump in the car and head off to the coast for a walk along the beach followed by a nice meal and a few glasses of Rose wine.

What was the best book or series that you’ve ever read?  It has to be Harry Potter. Everything about it is magic!

What was the first single you bought or track you downloaded?  I don’t really remember, but it was something like Duran Duran or Spandau Ballet.
