10 Things you didn’t know about Dean

What does a typical work day involve for you?  On a normal day, I review/prepare VAT returns & management accounts for our clients. I also prepare annual accounts and provide Xero training for our clients.

If you were not working in accountancy, what would you have done?  I’m not sure. I always wanted to be an accountant because my uncle had a ‘fast car’ and he was an accountant and I thought that if I became an accountant that I would also have a ‘fast car’! I wouldn’t have minded being a Formula 1 driver but at 6.4″ this would have been difficult. Maybe I could have been an actuary or have worked in some area of physics as my job would have to be maths based.

What pets did you have when you were growing up and what were their names? I am not a pet person so I didn’t have any pets whilst growing up.  My wife is doing her best to change this.

What is your favourite hobby/pastime? Watching football and Formula 1.

What fictional place would you most like to go to? I would like to go to the Star Wars galaxy and fly the Millennium Falcon.

What is your favourite food and drink? My favourite drinks are Drambuie and cider and my favourite food is Asian Fusion.

Where is your favourite place in the world and why? Would have to be the south island of New Zealand as it has amazing walks and nature. I spent 36 days travelling there and it wasn’t long enough.

What would be your ideal way to spend the weekend? Spending time with my wife, family and friends. Also watching Dunfermline Athletic would be a great bonus!

What was the best book or series that you’ve ever read? That would have to be ‘A Song of Ice and Fire’ by George R.R. Martin (Game of Thrones). His books are full of so much detail and he makes their worlds seem very real.

What was the first single you bought or track you downloaded? The first album I bought was Employment by the Kaiser Chiefs.
