Xero Accounting Plans and Prices – Update
Xero are introducing new pricing plans from 12 September 2024. They have said the aim is to simplify the existing structure with the new plans replacing the current ‘Starter’, ‘Standard’, and ‘Premium’ plans. Here is what you need to know:
New Plans
From 12 September 2024 the Starter, Standard and Premium plans will no longer be sold, and new Xero subscribers will have to select one of the plans from the list below.
- Xero Ignite: Designed for small businesses just starting out
- Xero Grow: Ideal for businesses looking to expand
- Xero Comprehensive: A robust plan for established businesses
- Xero Ultimate: Most comprehensive plan
The new plans contain more key features than their predecessors and aim to provide users with greater access to the tools required to run their businesses efficiently.
Price Increases (per month GBP, excluding VAT)
In addition to the new accounting plans, Xero will also be increasing their prices as of 12 September 2024. The price increases will apply to all new plans purchased, plus any old plans active from 12 September 2024 onwards but will not apply to add-ons which will remain at their current prices.
- Xero Starter/ Ignite (current £15; new £16)
- Xero Standard/ Grow (current £30; new £33)
- Xero Premium/ Comprehensive (current £42; new £47)
- Xero Ultimate (current £55; new £59)
Phased Move to New Plans
Xero subscriptions on the old plans will not be cancelled as of 12 September 2024 nor will they be automatically transferred to one of the new plans. Instead, Xero have opted to take a phased approach and will begin transferring subscriptions from 12 September 2024. Until you are transferred to one of the new plans, you will continue to have access to the features of your current plan but will pay the increased rate per the price increases above. - Your new plan will be based on your current plan plus add-ons
- Xero will give you a minimum of 60 days’ notice before making changes to your plan and will provide all the relevant information about the plan they intend to move you to
- Xero aim to have all subscribers on a new plan by March 2025
- Alternatively, you can choose to move to a new plan from 12 September
