Ross joined Johnston Smillie in July 2025 after graduating from Heriot-Watt University with an honours degree in Business & Finance. He aims to become a fully qualified accountant and is looking forward to starting to study for his accountancy qualification.

Ross also plays football, where he competes at a semi-professional level, having previously captained his university side and represented the Scottish University team. In his spare time, he enjoys getting out to play a round of golf.
