Before moving to Johnston Smillie, Portia worked for a small firm in Glasgow. Portia is an accountant who has AAT and ACCA qualifications and has worked in accountancy practice for over 10 years.

Portia currently works within the VAT and corporate team as a client manager and is responsible for preparing:

• Accounts for limited companies
• Tax calculations
• Management accounts

Portia also provides corporate advice and planning, preparation and overview of VAT returns, auditing of financial statements and assists clients with other reporting needs

She looks after a wide variety of clients in many different industries such as property development, construction, engineering, IT consultancy and real estate.
