Jelmer joined Johnston Smillie in August 2026.

Jelmer graduated with a degree in Finance and began his career as a freelance Finance Controller gaining hands-on experience supporting businesses with their financial processes. This experience led him to a role in a London accounting firm where he became involved in bookkeeping, VAT returns, payroll and statutory accounts. Jelmer takes pride in streamlining accounting processes and making life easier for his clients.

Outside of work Jelmer enjoys travelling, hiking, photography, going to the gym and playing tennis.
