10 Things you didn’t know about Alison

What does a typical work day involve for you? I am responsible for all aspects of weekly, fortnightly, 4-weekly and monthly end to end payrolls, including year end for a variety of clients.

If you were not working in payroll, what would you have done? I always wanted to be cabin crew, but unfortunately you have to be a certain height, so that ruled me out..

What pets did you have when you were growing up and what were their names? We had a budgie called Haggis and a dog called Nicky

What is your favourite hobby/pastime? I enjoy reading all types of books, but my favourite read is crime fiction.

What fictional place would you most like to go to? This would be The Secret Garden from the book by Frances Hodgson Burnett.

What is your favourite food and drink? I enjoy cocktails, especially fruity ones and my favourite food would have to be shredded beef and chilli sauce from the Chinese.

Where is your favourite place in the world and why? I love the Algarve in Portugal.  The climate, scenery and atmosphere make it a relaxing holiday.

What would be your ideal way to spend the weekend? I am partial to a city break with shopping and taking in a show, or if I want to relax, then it would be a spa break.

What was the best book or series that you’ve ever read? My love of crime fiction comes from my dad and my favourite books would be The Kay Scarpetta Series by Patricia Cornwell.

What was the first single you bought or track you downloaded? The first single I bought was Denis by Blondie.  I spent my birthday trying to replace the copy which had been given to me as a present, because someone stood on it and broke it.
