10 Things you didn’t know about me
What does a typical work day involve for you? I mostly deal with preparing and submitting Tax Returns to HMRC. This includes liaising with clients via email and telephone, checking and booking in information, updating various trackers and then finally submitting the Returns to HMRC. I also deal with tax repayment letters and check PAYE coding notices sent from HMRC and general administration duties.
If you were not an accountant, what would you be? I would love to work in Forensics or Criminal Psychology! I watch a lot of Investigation and unsolved cases on Netflix as I find them very interesting.
What pets did you have when you were growing up and what were their names? I had a hamster named Speedy and a Newfoundland puppy called Lincoln.
What is your favourite hobby/pastime? I play the drums in the Royal Burgh of Stirling Pipe Band, so I attend practices during the week and compete in many different competitions throughout the year.
What fictional place would you most like to go to? I loved Peter Pan when I was younger, so it would have to be Neverland!
What is your favourite food and drink? My favourite food has got to be a roast dinner and my favourite drink is Raspberry Gin. (obviously not on a school night)
Where is your favourite place in the world and why? Turkey is one of my favourite places to visit, but I don’t think I have an overall favourite – just as long as there is sun, sand and sea!
What would be your ideal way to spend the weekend? I usually spend time with my friends and family going out for dinner and drinks.
What was the best book or series that you’ve ever read? I don’t really read books, I prefer a TV series!
What was the first single you bought or track you downloaded? I don’t really remember, but I would guess it would be Westlife.
