Paul Taddei FCA
Paul Taddei is a Chartered Accountant based within our firm in Edinburgh, looking after clients throughout Scotland and beyond. Paul advises all types of businesses and is a Charity and Not for Profit specialist accountant.
After graduating with a degree in English from the University of Edinburgh, Paul trained with one of the Big Four firms and qualified as a Chartered Accountant with the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales in 1995. In the late 90s he joined a small firm in Edinburgh and since then has spent his career providing a broad range of accounting, advisory and compliance services to clients in a wide variety of sectors. He is also a Xero accredited advisor.
Within the corporate and charities group at Johnston Smillie, Paul’s particular responsibilities include:
- Advising clients and colleagues on Financial Reporting Standards and other technical issues
- Assisting in compliance with company legislation, charities legislation and regulatory matters
- Acting as treasurer and advisor for charities for whom Johnston Smillie provides secretarial and administrative services
Paul is acutely aware of the legislative, regulatory and administrative burdens on small business owners and charity trustees. He aims to help clients deal with such matters as efficiently as possible so that they can use their time and talents more productively.
When not working, Paul enjoys literature, music, art and travelling. He is also developing a serious Netflix habit and often wonders how he used to cope in the days before everything was available online.
